Annastacia Simon

Hailing from the United States, Annastacia has been working as a freelance photographer with a focus on creative portraiture since 2003. With a background in photo-processing, she witnessed first hand both the enthusiasm that we all have for beautiful photography as well as the frustration due to overly expensive prices and photographers' policies such as withholding copyright releases, only offering limited options in printing and very little creative interaction.

Determined to be one of the few but proud photographers who would offer creative, bespoke and affordable photography for everyone (not just those with a higher budget) Annastacia feels very strongly that photography needs to return to its roots of being a service for the people, which captures the ongoing personal joys and triumphs of the modern family ; from weddings to baby and pet portraits and beyond. She believes that it should be extremely affordable and that every photo-shoot should reflect as much of the client's personality as possible.

Joining strengths with friend of many years Steve Southart, together they created Studio Lotus in effort to become the Northwest's Family Photographers.

Steve Southart

With over 20 years of experience as a freelance photographer behind him, what Steve brings to Studio Lotus is a cool and collected brain that only comes from experience. Inspired into the industry as a teenager, he cut his teeth as a photographer for student magazines, where he focused on two of his passions: sports and music.

Before long, he found himself working for Stockport County Football Club and filling his freelance portfolio with everything from weddings and portraits to sportsman's dinners. If the years have taught him anything, it is that he loves being a photographer and delivering only the best, high quality and original photography for clients. No challenge is too big or small. Which is why, when Annastacia came up with this wild idea of doing just that - and making it truly affordable for everyone - Steve simply couldn't resist.
